These packages have been built on a GNU/Linux Redhat 6.2/x86 system. They are in RPM 3.0 format and should install on Linux distributions based on RPM 3.0 and RPM 4.0.
These RPMs where successfully tested on the following distributions (x86 architecture) :
Warning, you will find here separate RPMs for Tcl/Tk 8.0 (standard on Redhat 6.2 and Mandrake 7.0), and for Tcl/Tk 8.3 (standard on Redhat 7.0 and Mandrake 7.2). If your distribution only come with Tcl/Tk below 8.3, you are strongly encouraged (if you can) to upgrade to Tcl/Tk 8.3. This can be done with packages available from your distribution editor, or with the package given here.
If really you can't upgrade (other software relies on Tcl/Tk 8.0 for example), use the packages made for Tcl/Tk 8.0.5. However with these packages, some functionality may not work.

These are upgrade packages for Redhat 6.2. Some conflicts may appear with installed packages (tkinter for example). You should then either deinstall or upgrade the faulty package before upgrading Tcl/Tk.
On Mandrake 7.0 et 7.1, it is preferable to upgrade with Mandrake 7.2 Tcl/Tk RPMs (but the rpm below will nevertheless work, though they have not the same layout at all).

It is more specifically designed for the annotation of broadcast news recordings, for
creating corpora used in the development of automatic broadcast news
transcription systems, but its features might be found useful in other
areas of speech research.
